FISE World Edmonton 2016

REVERSAL IN THE TREND ON TOP OF THE MTB RANKING

22 Sep 2016 15:03
Since the top three riders in Montpellier, Thomas Genon, Ryan Nyquist and Yannick Granieri (injured) were not in Edmonton, the general ranking of the FISE World Series was going to be impacted in a major way after FISE World Edmonton. The main beneficiary of this succession of withdrawals is the French Thomas Lemoine who, with a 4th place, takes the lead of the series, and with a nice margin of 2500 points before the other French Medhi Gani brilliant second in Canada. The Americans Boggs Reed and Nicholi Rogatkin get back in good place after their below-average performance of Montpellier. Respectively 3rd and 4th in the overall, they will need to win in Chengdu to hope for an overall title. Therefore, the suspens is absolute before this final stopover in Asia where the absentees will rejoin the already stacked line up of riders on this new Gold FMB stopover.
