By hosting the first ever round of the UCI BMX Flatland World Cup, Hiroshima couldn’t give a better present to the large numbers of Japanese riders of this discipline. As a result, they were two tiers of local riders for one tiers of international ones to electrise the wowed crowd. These one was on fire in front of all the turns of their mate Ideka Takahiro, as well as the surprising run of Suesat Wasan who is the great discover of this contest. Once again, Jean-William Prevost and Alex Jumelin went head to head and judges had a hard time to choose who will reach the podium. Finally, the very creative style of the French made the difference and there is no doubt that he will use the trophy to pimp his BMX Flatland Academy room while going back in France. Viki Gomez made a very technical run with a great use of his back wheel, enhanced by some pretty barspin. But it’s the Matthias Dandois magical run which get the concensus of everyone. He added a lot of freshies and mixed a lots of different technics, without putting any feet on the floor. As he said « the crowd made it, you can feel they know what they see as the Japanese scene is crazy for Flatland rider. The season couldn’t start better to be on the podium with two of my best friend ».
