UCI BMX Freestyle Park Women : the pressure is at maximum

20 Apr 2019 15:11

If there is one thing that everybody agrees on, it’s the exponential improvement of the Women's BMX level over the past few years. What’s even better, is that the riders are progressing in so many ways. This means that we are seeing a lot of different tricks, and all of them are riding with their own style which is a proper delight to watch. Is it the Olympic dynamic that supports this incredibly quick development? Anyway, it’s easy to bet that the involvement of National Federations is helpful for finding more time and resources to train in their everyday life, as well as travelling to attend events.  Breaking News : it is the first ever female UCI BMX Freestyle semi-final which is necessary as we had 37 riders in yesterday’s qualification. The 2018 FWS Overall Winner Hannah Roberts literally smashed it today. She is the kind of rider who is pushing for the progression of the trick difficulty for the Women. In a completely different style, Perris Benegas is the kind of rider who has developed a more flowing and aerial way of riding. She placed second today, just in front of the German Lara Lessman and her big bag of tricks, which means the judges never know what to expect from her. She shows that she knows where she is going, and is very consistent in the way she executes her tricks. The pressure is at maximum for tomorrow finals, because anybody from the top 10 could take the win.
