20 Aug 2017 21:08

With the sun shining and the crowd packing BudaPart Kopazsi Gat Park, Romain Godenaire locked up first place at the FIRS Roller Freestyle Park World Cup with a high score of 95.16.

Head inline judge Mathieu Heinemann commented, “We were happy to showcase some of the world’s best professional rollerbladers to Budapest and the level of skating on the course was incredible.”

Tomek Przybylik from Poland charged his way through the field with original tricks and solid spins, putting him into 3rd place.

Defending FISE Roller world champion Julien Cudot had the highest single run score of 98 with a mind-blowing front flip onto the vert wall deck, however his combined two run average placed him in second spot.

Creative lines and smoothly linked tricks by Romain in all of his runs paid off for the Frenchman, who is now tied for 1st place in the FIRS World Cup overall ranking.

The next leg of the FIRS World Cup tour heads to Nanjing, China and the World Roller Games in September.
