PARKOUR AREA
This area is dotted with various blocks, walls and bars that seek to replicate the different obstacles found in the urban environment. It forces athletes to use a variety of physical techniques to overcome them.
PARKOUR FIG WORLD CUP
Parkour is an urban discipline that has been popularized in part by the movies. It can be summed up as the art of getting from one point to another while seeking efficiency in movement.
In Speed, the athletes have to cross the obstacles as quickly as possible to reach the finish line.
In Freestyle, they use the obstacles to express their style and creativity in overcoming the structures.
The World Cup is organized in collaboration with the FIG and the FFG.
PODIUM PARKOUR FREESTYLE - FISE MONTPELLIER 2022 - MEN
Elis TORHALL - 18 years old - SWEDEN
Elis Torhall has quickly become one of the best parkour athletes in the world. The young man was the first male parkour athlete representing Sweden to win a gold medal in the World Cup when he won in Freestyle in 2021 in Sofia (Bulgaria). In 2022, he won at FISE Montpellier with a simply incredible performance and technique and a full in back out to punctuate a memorable performance!
Ioakeim THEODORIDIS - 22 years old - GREECE
With a training rhythm of three to four hours a day, four to five days a week, Ioakeim intends to make his mark on the international scene. In 2022, everything accelerates for the young Greek athlete in Montpellier and it is all smiles that he makes the difference during his run and reaches the second step of the podium before winning gold at the World Games in Birmingham of the same year.
Fausto VICARI - 23 years old - ITALY
Proud ambassador of his country, Fausto Vicari won the bronze medal in Parkour Freestyle at FISE Montpellier in 2022. At only 23 years old, he already has two Italian Champion titles in 2019 and 2022 to his name. On his Instagram account, he daily documents his training and the tricks he perfects. Latest: a triple side flip and a double side gap between two roofs.
PODIUM PARKOUR FREESTYLE - FISE MONTPELLIER 2022 - WOMEN
Ella Maria BUCIO - 24 years old - MEXICO
Since her childhood, the winner of the E-FISE 2020 in Parkour has practiced Artistic Gymnastics at a high level. Between acrobatic movements, jumps and artistic figures, Ella Maria Bucio has been able to distinguish herself and become in three years a favorite freerunner for the next international events. At 24 years old, the young Mexican fights to make the female cause evolve in Parkour in Mexico.
Miranda TIBBLING - 19 years old - SWEDEN
First athlete to win a gold medal in Parkour Speed Run at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Miranda quickly became a hope for a medal for her country. The same year, she won gold in Speed Run at the Parkour Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria and impressed again in Montpellier with a big run, full of creativity in Parkour Freestyle.
Vendula MERKOVA - 22 years old - CZECH REPUBLIC
Experienced gymnast when she was younger, Vendula Merkova has been accomplished since 2019 in Parkour. Together with her twin sister Adela, the two Czechs shine in this emerging discipline. Vendula's artistic and rhythmic movements have notably earned her a 3rd place in 2022 at FISE Montpellier in Freestyle.
