MANU CORNU, CLIMBING CHAMPION

Did you know it ? This year on the FISE Montpellier, we are welcoming a new discipline : Climbing ! The best international climbers will scale the wall set up by Block'out Montpellier.

 

Focus on Manu Cornu, 23 years old, a revelation in the world of climbing these past few years. His haircut tells a lot : he's agile like a leopard. Raised in the Paris area, he is only 5 years old when his passion for climbing begins, 8 when he enters his first competition. It will eventually turns into his job and he becomes a Block’Out professional athlete. Member of the French Climbing Team in "Bloc Senior", he earns himself silver and bronze medals during the last Paris World championship in 2016.
 Next to the French Team, he is also engaged in the french ground army as a soldier, along with other high level athletes, recognised as newcomers. With his appetite for victory, Manu is ready to climb the highest summits. 

 

His goal today ?  To take part in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games !

 

For the twenty years celebration of the FISE, rendezvous at the FISE Montpellier Climbing Boulder on the Europe square ("Place de l'Europe", close to Roller) to meet him in person, and other climbing champions as well… Stay tuned !
