Interview ! Brendon Smith, 23 years old pro rider and business man

The "King Of Spine" contest of the FISE is the biggest scooter pro contest in the world. Last year, Brendon Smith, a 23 years old Australian, get on the 1st place. This year he is putting back his title in challenge! We had to catch up with him;

 

FISE: -"Hi Brendon. It is not the first time that you are taking part in the FISE, right?"

Brendon: -"No, it is the third time that I am riding as professional on the FISE."

F: -"Do you like the event?"

B: -"Oh yeah, the FISE is my favorite contest that I have ever done. The vibe... I like the ramp... It is just awesome!"

F: -"The scooter community is growing. Can you feel that in the FISE?

B: -"Definitely. I know most of the riders competing for the "King of Spine" from previous editions or from other competitions. But each there is also many new faces, and about the level , it clearly rising! It is crazy, it is each year more challenging." (anthousiast smile)

F: -"Are you planning to stay a bit in France after the contest?"

B: -"Yes, we are touring in France, then going to Switzerland for contests, Canada..."

F: -"When did you start to ride as professional?"

B: -"Well... I started to be sponsored by Blunt/Envy ... Then I switched in 2012 for Fasen. So it has been 5 years now."

F: -"About Fasen, I think your relationships goes beyond the sponsorship... Can you tell us more about it ?"

B: -"I am part of the company. I share new product ideas with Fasen, then we work on the development and all that. I inspire the range of the products and I test them."

F: -"You are going to ride for the spine ramp scooter finale pro. As current title holder do you feel confident?"

B: -"Well, I would not say 'confident' but yes, I am ready to show what I am capable of on the spine!"

 

Is the young australian going to keep his title of "King of the Spine" ?!
