UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup Final - MEN
For the second year in a row the rider representing team Australia gets first place at FISE Hiroshima. He came out the gates firing on his first run but fell on his first trick and had to call time on his run. Incredibly he put that behind him and kept his concentration going into the second, run where he went absolutely crazy. It was literally trick after trick including a 1080, a double backflip, a 900 and a huge cashroll! The insane run puts him straight into first place with a score of 95.80 points which no one was able to beat. He described how it felt to win:
“that run was a dream run of mine, I am so thankful to be standing on top of the podium in front of some of the best riders in the world”
In second place it was Japanese rider Rim Nakamura who unbelievably is only 17 years old. The crowd went wild for the Pride of Japan as he destroyed the course landing trick after trick, including a combo of 5 tricks in one which was just unbelievable. He scored 92.40 points.
In 3rd place was Logan Martin also riding for team Australia. He scored a big 91.10 points on his first run which included a 4 tailwhip combo, and a 540 flair right on the buzzer. He needed to do more in his second run if he was going to get the gold, but he uncharacteristically slipped a pedal which through him off and it was his first run that counted.
