BMX PARK SEMI-FINAL: Marcus Christopher qualifies in first place, followed by Anthony Jeanjean and Logan Martin

Twenty-four riders from 15 countries battled under the scorching sun for one of the 12 coveted spots in Saturday’s final. Already leading in qualifications, American rider Marcus Christopher confirmed his favorite status with a powerful and technical run that made full use of the park.

France’s Anthony Jeanjean, reigning FISE champion and Olympic bronze medalist, was the only French rider in the semi-final. Backed by an enthusiastic crowd, he delivered two flawless runs, securing an impressive second place. Australia’s Logan Martin rounded out the top three.

Highlights included Bryce Tryon’s heavy fall during his first run—followed by a brave second attempt, despite back pain, which earned him a last-minute place in the final. Kaden Stone, who opened the event, wowed the crowd before crashing on the buzzer.

According to park expert Egon: “Marcus Christopher is a force to be reckoned with. Pedaling mid-run is usually frowned upon in BMX, but when Marcus does it, it’s to go faster, higher, and throw down bigger tricks.”

All eyes are now on Saturday’s final, where Jeanjean will once again have the home crowd behind him as he fights to defend his title.
