If you haven’t got any plans for the summer holidays yet, we’ve got a great idea! Head on down to Anglet in the Basque Country where you can join us at the bar spot on 10/11 August for the 5th stage of our French tour: FISE Xperience Series. Come and discover the best European athletes in Skateboard and BMX.
5 good reasons to visit
1- Capital of surfers
Même si la période ne sera pas trop propice aux vagues, ce sera l'ocasion de profiter de 4,5 km de plage et de 11 écoles de surf pour s'initier. Une destination "sport nature" par excellence !
Even if it’s not the best time for waves, you can still enjoy 4.5 km of beach and 11 surfing schools at this ‘nature sport’ destination par excellence!
2- Green city
Want to go green? You can here in 230 hectares of vegetation and in the Lazaret forest with all its trails and bike paths.
3- Chill out at La Barre
Rejoignez nous au nord d'Anglet pour le FISE. Plusieurs activités sur place comme la patinoire face à l'ocean, un parc écologique et la maison de l'environnement.
Depuis la Barre, vous pourrez aller vous balader et suivre le sentier du littoral qui va jusqu'à la Chambre d'Amour.
Join us for FISE just north of Anglet. You’ll find lots of activities there such as an ice rink facing the sea, an ecological park and an environmental centre. From La Barre, take a walk and follow the coastal path to the Chambre d’Amour.
4- Wake up your taste buds
There’ll also be an opportunity to try Basque specialties such as "piperade" or "axoa" seasoned with Espelette pepper or "ardi Gasna", unpasteurised ewe cheese. And to end on a sweet note, a piece of "Basque cake" or mouchous (litle cakes). You’ll be revitalised after a surf session or on the park FISE Xperience.
5- Car-free zone
To get to the beaches in summer, choose the easy option! The City of Anglet offers a free shuttle from 11h to 20h (every 20 minutes).
