20 years.

20 years of riding and jumping, spinning and flipping, grinding and jibbing, sweat, blood and tears, podiums and champions, world firsts and first timers. 20 years of putting on a show for the roaring crowds, and 20 years of creating unforgettable moments.

20 years: the anniversary we celebrate this year at FISE.

We’ve seen some riders come and go, and we have seen some always by our side. We’ve opened the door for amateurs to step into the professional world of action sports. We have introduced more action sports lovers to competition than any other event on earth. And with over 1m people attending the FISE action sport festival worldwide in 2016, including nearly 600,000 people in Montpellier alone, we know what we are doing is reaching out to the masses and firing up passion for our beloved sports.

This year, we celebrate our strong past, but we also celebrate what’s ahead of us. We are stronger than ever, and so are the sports that make us who we are. With the Olympics in sight for BMX and skateboarding, we have never been so sure of a brighter future for the competitive side of action sports.

So gear up and get ready for the ride. Here’s to another 20 years!
