Demi final day for World Skate Scootering Pro Tour Men's Street 🛴

18 Oct 2024 14:30

The semi-finals of the World Skate Trottinette Street Pro Tour have just finished here in Shanghai, at 2.30pm.

And it's fair to say that this semi-final was full of twists and turns! After shining in the qualifiers, the French were once again in the running. Indeed, with a TOP 5 including 4 Frenchmen in the qualifiers, nothing less was expected at this stage of the competition.

The results are in:

1st : Lucas Di Meglio

2nd: Cory Griffiths

3rd: Alexandre Bailly

4th: Léonard Bometon

5th: Jonathan Perroni

Once again, the Top 5 was made up of 4 French riders and one New Zealander.

The 5 riders put in a perfect first run to secure points in case of a fall on their second run and to secure a place in the qualifying round.

A real battle ensued between Lucas Di Meglio, who was first at the time, and Cory Griffiths, who was second.

And when it came to the second runs, Cory took first place on the podium thanks to a committed, technical and versatile run. But that was without counting on Lucas's second run, when he outdid himself to claw back the points and take first place in the final standings. Léonard Bometon also made a great comeback on his second run, climbing into the final top 5!

The 10 riders with the most points from their runs now qualify for the final of the World Skate Scooter Street Pro tour, which takes place tomorrow, Saturday October 19, from 12.30 to 2.30 pm, live on Max!
