19 Oct 2024 12:41

8 Skaters had qualified for today’s final and despite the less than ideal weather conditions they managed to throw down some incredible tricks. The contest format was 2 Runs and 3 Best Tricks of which 2 counted.

At the end of the 2 runs it was Slovakian Skater Richard Tury on top thanks to his first run which was packed with tricks, including an impressive Big Spin boardslide. He even managed to hit the Chopsticks obstacle on the Park and was the only Skater to do so. In second place was French Skater Jakes V who impressed the judges with a variety of Grind Tricks. In third place another French Skater and YouTube sensation Joseph Garbaccio. Both his runs were absolutely staked with tricks but it was the huge frontside air over the channel that really wowed the crowd.

Next it was on to the Best Trick portion of the contest which is a particular fan favourite. The lead was changing constantly as each skater took their 3 opportunities to impress with their best tricks. Once again Richard Tury was consistent in bringing the heat to the Park. He added to his incredible runs with big best tricks of which the big heel boardslide was a standout. In second place Joseph Garbaccio who landed a beautiful back 270 lip to improve on his third place after the runs. In third place another French Skater Benjamin Garcia who managed to significantly improve on his score with some huge best tricks featuring a really nice back 3 on the bank to bank obstacle.
