Sibei Sun takes the gold home !

Shanghai came alive this afternoon for the UCI BMX Park Freestyle World Cup Women’s Final. 12 of the best female riders in the world were here in China to compete in the final stop of 2024. A huge crowd had gathered and made their presence felt especially for the Chinese girls who put on an amazing show for them. It was no surprise then to see a Chinese girl come out on top in young rider Sibei Sun. 

Her first run was absolutely packed with tricks including a huge backflip, however she really impressed us all in her second run. Despite the fact she was on top and didn't need to produce in her second, when rain threatened to make it impossible for her to ride and her coach told her to take it easy, she went full send. 

The 720 made the crowd go wild and she rightfully took home the gold. In second place was the youngest girl in the competition.  

At only 14 years old Ozawa from Japan is already a full-fledged shredder. Speed, hight, style and tricks her runs had it all and the judges agreed that she deserved the silver medal. In third place we find another Sun sister Jaqui Sun who placed just behind her sister in Bronze medal position. 

Obviously a talented family she landed a big 360 can can and some clean tailwhips to take the third spot.
